The Kunsthistorisches Museum presents masterpieces by Pieter Bruegel the Elder, Giuseppe Arcimboldo, Jacopo and Leandro Bassano, Leonardo da Vinci, Albrecht Dürer, Hieronymus Bosch, Giorgione and other outstanding artists. Their works of art show that the Renaissance developed a new understanding of nature, time and the cosmos. This era discovered the beauty of nature. Artists and scholars began to explore it specifically and to depict the world as it changed.
